All our vehicles are sourced privately, not from auctions like most other dealers. Our vehicles are collected from source and driven back to our site. This allows us to thoroughly road test all the vehicles and enables us to highlight any issues/imperfections etc before the vehicle arrives onsite. These can be addressed immediately upon arrival and before the sale.
This gives us a huge advantage over our competitors and gives us the knowledge and understanding of the vehicle’s history and ownership, which we can pass on to our customer. We ensure that all our vehicles have excellent service history and low owners.

So many dealers buy a car from an auction, it arrives via transporter onsite and isn’t driven before the sale – they have no idea what they are selling, leading to complications, and potentially serious faults…
We price check our cars daily to make sure we are extremely competitive. A lot of used car dealers boast the fact they do not charge a service support fee. However, a lot of the time their cars are grossly overpriced with a lower level of service. With us, we price check daily to always stay competitive and tend to be the cheapest within 100 miles from us.
Every car undergoes a 200-point inspection prior to sale. We always use the highest quality parts and make sure any advisories are done. A lot of garages will sell you a car with a long list of advisories and ‘scrap yard’ second-hand parts used. We will never do this.
At Clovelly Cars we believe you shouldn’t be left worrying with no fuel, trying to find a petrol station. So, every car we sell will come with the fuel light off. This typically works out from 30–80-mile range minimum.
Every car is valeted to the very highest of standards using only the best available products in the industry. We will have your new car gleaming and looking showroom condition before collection. Typically, a valet like this would cost £50–£80 RRP.
Each car we sell is fully HPI clear. We do all the background checks for you, so you don’t have to. A good HPI check typically costs £15. We include this with every sale, and they are available to view on our website.
Notifying the DVLA of buying or selling a car can be a massive headache. At Clovelly Cars, we do all of this for you. We will register your new car to yourself, put your PX into trade and even help you tax your vehicle before leaving.
Finance can be complicated, especially with all the jargon used. We keep finance simple and all in-house. With rates starting from 9.9% APR, we do all the hard work for you. We will settle any finance on your car directly with your current lender, so you don’t have to.
Every car we supply comes with a free 90-day warranty for all mechanical and electrical components, to be used nationwide. We also offer upgrades up to 36 months. There is no need to register or apply; the warranty is handled by us. Like car insurance, warranty companies charge an excess whenever a customer makes a claim. Our warranty company charges £30 excess. As part of our Preparation/Service Support fee, we will pay the warranty excess, regardless of where you are located in the UK or whichever garage you choose to complete the repairs.
Take advantage of our stay the night on us scheme. We offer customers travelling over 100 miles to us a free night in a Premier Inn the day of or day before collection to make your experience as pain-free as possible. See our homepage for all T&C’s.
We want you, your friends and family to keep coming back to us. So, if you refer us to anyone and they purchase a car from us, we will transfer £50 into your bank account. It really is as easy as that.
All our staff are constantly trained and educated on all compliance matters. We all take yearly SAF regulated tests to keep SAF approved and work within the FCA guidelines.
All our cars come fitted with brand new plates, the reason being that number plates can fade and tarnish. Subconsciously, one of the first areas your friends and family will look at when they first see your new car is the number plate. We feel the number plates should be as sparkling as the car. If you have a private number plate, our sales executive will complete the online transfer for you. We will also provide “free of charge” new private number plates to be printed and fitted to your car.
Many dealers don’t replace number plates; this is to keep the cars’ preparation costs to a minimum.
